Do you orb fans remember that Lindsey Cockwell track, “Tiny Snatch” from the BadOrb Promo? Well, it’s a legit Orb project! Aaron found this on her site:

…Somewhere in the middle of all this her ear for melody was spotted by Alex Patterson of The Orb who produced a version of her song ‘Tiny Snatch Of Daylight’. Her own version of the song also appeared on her Debut EP ‘Lyndsey Cockwell’, released in 2004…

Isn’t that AWESOME! Both I and Aaron are excited about this and Arn. was the one to make this discovery! I feel so damn proud about Arn finding this! So now we can officially say it’s an genuine Orb remix (it’s labeled as “Tiny Snatch” instead of “Tiny Snatch of Daylight”).

We also listened to her own stuff and it’s pretty rough, no real production to speak of, the track Tiny Snatch is quite lovely with bass and stuff.

I love this EP! I almost see it as an Orb release, Most of the tracks are Remixed by the Orb and Ex. Orb members track 1. Requiem (A Floating Leaf Always Reaches The Sea Mix) Is remixed by Kris Weston, he is truly brilliant working those machines! Look out for his Jazzy Spaced-Out track on Coppé’s forthcoming album.

Track 3. Pandemonium (The Dragonfly Mix) is produced by Greg Hunter, this man is a knob twiddler out of this world anything with his seal on it smells high quality electronica from fare away. He’s been producing numerous Orb tracks as we all know.

Track 5. Millennium (Back To Orion Mix) Is also the work of Greg Hunter, an amazing Juno Reactor Remix. Track 6 & 7 credited Greg Hunter and Youth.

And finally track 8. Democracy (Russian Tundra Mix) Remixed by The Orb credited as “Le Petite Orb”  This track is available elsewhere to but it completes this EP and is like a concussion, a grand finale if you like.

The Orb – Aubrey Mixes: The Ultraworld Excursions

Aubrey Mixes mixes is my favorite orb album and one of my top 10 album cover designs as well. This is a scan from my CD version of the Cumulus Nimbus press. I have worked with the colors and made it as clean and true to the original as possible.

Aubrey Mixes: The Ultraworld Excursions is a remix album compilation by The Orb, which was deleted on the day it was released. The album consists of seven alternate mixes of their first album, The Orb’s Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld. Five of these mixes are also available on the 2006 Deluxe Edition re-release of The Orb’s Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld.
