The Orb - Baghdad Batteries

I will not try to review this album i think there are so many who does that better than I do… but…

Some fun easter egg for you thou.. track 9, pebbles is a cat purring. Pebbles the cat was the “letter opener” in volume magazine. “She” would read and answer the questions people submitted (and sometimes ones they made up [the people at volume]) Of course Pebbles was actually Rob Deacon… um cuz cats can’t read n write MmmmKay! : )

Some pictures… The inlay has very personal greetings from both the Dr. & Prof. to family and artists that has been a inspiration. This album is Mastered by the late Andy Hughes.

Baghdad BatteriesThis album is the third in the Orbsessions series for UK imprint Malicious Damage, although whereas the previous two entries were comprised of “nuggets trawled from the vaults,”

Baghdad Batteries is composed of brand new material recorded at Fehlmann’s Berlin studio. So how does it sound? Expect a “subterranean house pulse beamed up from the Earth’s core, resulting in a new form of space disco which sounds as old as time itself while brushed with the most future-pointed minimal techno shadows,” and you’ll be somewhere close.

“The only trail are those that are made by walking”
