Sandra Nurmsalu
The Eurovision Song Contest is “The Big Thing” here in Europe, no expense spared… It’s all about glamour and glam but most of all money as alway.
I used to love watching the finals. . . anyways this is a reoccurring phenomena every year and it dates back to 1956.
The voting rules change every year and many think that neighbor countries vote in favor for each other. And there’s been critisim from Sweden and other countries that invest millions every year on Eurovision Song Contest.
This is really not my cup of tea but while zapping the telly last night i heard Sandra Nurmsalu representing Estonia with the song Rändajad and i totally fell in love with this song and the performance.
Sandra’s song is ethnic almost gothic, and i don’t think she will win actually i don’t want her to because this song is too good to be wasted on a c**p show like this IMHO.
I predict a bright future for this young girl, the music is genuine and she treats herself with selfrespect and is not a sellout like most of the competitors.
I almost wish that Sandra with her band Urban Symphony would win the whole shebang! But then again Estonian is my second language and i understand all of the lyrics, this may be one reason for my sympathy and love for this song. Palju õnne homseks Sandra !!
Urban Symphony are lead singer and violinist Sandra Nurmsalu, violinist Mann Helstein, cello players Johanna Mangel, Mari Moldre. They are joined by backing vocalists Mirjam Mesak and Marilin Kongo.
And i just learned that the Nordic countries are ready for finals. I just might watch the show tomorrow. . . Just might ; )
May the best song win!
